Six Sentence Sunday

From my untitiled WIP

The phone roused me from of my thoughts about the dilemma I was in.  I had been contemplating what to do about the other night.
“Hullo,” I answered in a slurred voice.  Sure, I had been drinking.  What else could I do in my situation?  Yes, it didn’t solve the problem I had, but it took the edge off.

For those new to this, the rules are simple:
1) pick a project – a current Work in Progress, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you’re published
2) pick six sentences
3) post ‘em on Sunday
See? Easy. Want to play? See the site for information on how to do just that: http://sixsunday.com
If you have a Twitter account, you can add the hashtag #sixsunday to your tweets when you tweet a link to your Six Sentence Sunday post. If you’re a writer (regardless of published/unpublished status) come join us!

Good morning, Sunni! Great post for the project. You have my attention and I may have to check this one out. Not sure how it will work for poetry but it will be challenging to give it a whirl!

Sunni, I checked out the site but could not find any information how to join the linky. I may be just overlooking something quite simple. Help!

Ooooh it makes you want to know what her issues are and why she is drinking. Want to know more!

Sharla,

I just happened to come across this site by accident - as a lot of things happen. I just clicked on this link http://sixsunday.com/ which is in my post and then from there I could go to the Linky link.

The problem is you can't do it on Sundays because she closes the list so no one else can post. There will be a list for everyone who posted for that week so you can visit the different blogs and comment.

The reason for this (being closed) is because you don't have to participate every Sunday, so that makes it necessary to put your name back on the list every week. I wish this wasn't the case and there was an opt-in button to be automatically added to the list for each week. That way in case you went on vacation and still wanted to participate you could by scheduling things in advance.

Anyway, if you go to that link tomorrow or Tues you should be able to sign up for next week. There will then be a link that says Linky that you can click on.

I hope this helps.

This sounded like fun so I thought I'd keep it going for awhile and see what happens. You never know. I already have my blog posts scheduled for this until the end of the year. I just have to remember to go to that Linky every time and sign up, otherwise no one will see the post unless they just happen to be checking out your blog.

This list is very long now, almost 200 blogs participating.

Bratty,

Thank you for stopping by and commenting.

I'm glad that was interesting enough to make you want to read. It's just a few sentences from my WIP. I'm just pulling a few snippets out here and there to post.

I hope you will be back checking my blog from time to time.
